This month's posts focus on the
announcement of a RxISK Prize
. We aim to collect US$100,000 as a Prize for a Cure for Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD), Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS),
and Post Retinoid Sexual Dysfunction (PRSD)
- a series of debilitating conditions that have been the most reported adverse effects of treatment to RxISK but of which the world knows nothing.
We need you to spread the word. You can do this, as you did with the AbbVie petition four years ago, by translating the RxISK posts into all other major languages, by passing the word on to those you know and asking them to spread it, and by writing to people in positions of influence to spread the word even further.
We would be thrilled if you could also
donate to the prize purse
and recruit donors from the institutions or other walks of life in which you operate.
This is a prize that is likely to be claimed, and the cure will not only help people who are wasting money and risking their health on debatable treatments, but it stands a good chance of winning a Nobel Prize.
There is also an interesting healthcare experiment here. A prize fund will put sufferers in a position of control. Those who want to claim the prize will have to deliver a cure. And the sufferers can practice an interesting form of Evidence Based Medicine: they can insist on evidence that the claimed cure in fact works.
This is a novel departure that offers everyone a chance to contribute in whatever way they can.
