Greetings!
The Ryder Cup has changed.
Our new name is the MGA Peninsula Cup. It is a 2 day event - Friday and Saturday - Oct 15 & 16 plus a Draw Party on Wednesday October 13th.
Sign up will start Friday August 13th and close October 10th and will be first come, first serve. Sign up early to ensure a spot.
There will be 4 teams instead of 2 with a Maximum of 32 players per team (128 players max). Do not sign up as pairs as previously communicated.
*$180.00 per player + tax
*Plus Applicable Sport and Cart Fees
*Includes: Beer and Wine; Breakfast and Lunch both tournament days, Draw Party, Hors D' Oeuvres following play, team hat and sweeps.
For this initial year - we will form the teams loosely based on geography NE, SE, Mid-West, and West. This is not necessarily based on where you were born. If you have an affinity or reason to associate with a region - go for it. For example, if you were born in the NE, attended school in the mid-west, worked 10 years in CA, and now live in SE - you might feel connected to all of them.
We have selected 4 Team Captains. This years captains are:
- NE Chris Opie
- SE Larry Griffin Jr.
- Midwest Jim Rogers
- West Todd Mavis
Each Captain will select a Vice Captain to become the 2022 Captain.
When you Sign-up, rank the team that you would like to join using your preference of 1 to 4. Our goal is to assign people to the team of their preference, however to ensure a Handicap Index balance across all teams, we may need to assign people to their second or lower preferences. Generally players will remain with their team in successive years.
Team Names and Colors will be determined by our Captains. Team attire is encouraged.
Tournament Format
One Match: Captains Choice Match Play (One 9 Hole Match)
One Match: Foursomes Match Play (One 9 Hole Match)
One Match: Four Ball Match Play (One 9 Hole Match)
One Match: Singles Match Play (One 9 Hole Match)
Handicaps: All matches will be stroked off the low ball. Handicaps for each nine hole match will follow USGA guidelines for each of the different formats. Handicaps from Sunday, October 10 will be used for the tournament.
Tees: Black Tees*
*Gentlemen 65 or older whose age plus their Black Tee course handicap equals 80 or greater may compete from the White Tees. This selection must be made upon registration. Players who do not select a tee will default to the Black Tees. Tournament Tees cannot be changed the day of a Tournament.

Teams and Match Pairings will be revealed after announcement of Captains.
Team Hats will be distributed
Friday – 8:00 a.m. breakfast and Bloody Mary's on the Range. 9:00 a.m. Shot Gun. Lunch at the Turn. Post play party upstairs to reveal Friday results and the Saturday pairings
Saturday – 8:00 a.m. Full Breakfast including Bloody Marys. 9:00 a.m. Shot Gun. Following play there will be lunch in the Clubhouse to reveal Results.
