Tennis is the world’s healthiest sport and there’s never been a better time to get out on the court. If you’re looking to get a great workout while celebrating National Tennis Month this year, get on the court on:

Southern New Mexico Graduating Senior Award

Erin Lee


Erin Lee receives the Southern New Mexico (“SNM”) graduating

Senior Award. Erin has played in SNM tournaments for the past 11

years. Erin began as a 7-year-old playing red and orange ball. Erin

has been accepted to Cornell and will be majoring in Applied

Economics and Management. Erin, we hope you will continue

playing throughout your college years and into the future.

This award is given to graduating seniors in Southern New Mexico

who have played in at least one Southern New Mexico Junior

Tournament a year beginning as a 10 and under player.

Regional Scramble – Alamogordo



SNM celebrates National Tennis Month! This year’s USTA SNM Regional Scramble was hosted by the Alamogordo Tennis Association (ATA) and included forty-four attendees from Alamogordo, Artesia, Carlsbad, La Luz, Las Cruces and Roswell. In addition to some competitive round robin tennis, attendees were introduced to Adult Red Ball Tennis and Cardio Tennis Triples. Proceeds collected from the scramble will go to the Southwest Tennis Foundation. Thanks to all who attended and for making it such a fun event.Congratulations to winners:

Junior Tennis Update

Alamogordo

CITY OF CARLSBAD SUMMER RECREATION

TENNIS LESSONS


The 2025 summer tennis lessons sponsored by the City of Carlsbad

and the United States Tennis Association will begin on Monday June

2nd and run through Friday June 27th. These Monday through Friday

one hour lessons are designed for youngsters 5 and up. Children 10+

will come from 8 to 9 am, while those 5 to 9 will be from 9 to 10 am.

The cost for the first family member for the entire session is $50.

Other family members will be charged $30. Each participant will

receive a t-shirt and needs to bring their own racquet. All other

equipment will be furnished.

There will be an evening adult class beginning at 6 pm Tuesday June

3rd. For four weeks these players will meet on Tuesdays and

Thursdays for instruction, exercise and competition.

Signups will be taken at Rio Pecos Tennis Shop (700 Park Drive). For
