The Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center will be CLOSED next week in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

We would like to thank our friends at the Jackson County Historical and Genealogical Society for their generous grant towards the framework of our forthcoming Shipbuilder's Wall! Thanks to this donation, information on local shipbuilding families in Jackson County will be available to the public soon!

This week, the kids learned about navigating by and stories of the constellations, and created their own star pictures with crayons and tin foil!
