The Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center is pleased to announce our New name AND our FIRST Preview of innovative maritime displays highlighting innovation, seafaring stories, and Jackson County’s shipbuilding heritage. We are still holding our raffle to benefit the Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center! We are raffling off an informational panel on the USS Mississippi frigate, and a Pascagoula themed print by a local artist. Winning tickets will be drawn at our Launch!

Thanks to everyone who sent in entries to our model boat contest! Winners will be announced on Thursday, March 30, at 5:30 pm, and all entries will be displayed during our Launch festivities on March 30 and April 1!

Aubrey Simmons of Gautier, the subject of our recent oral history, builds a yacht at 75 years old.
