Jackson County National Boating Safety Week Proclamation

On Tuesday evening, the MSMC participated in the City Hall Proclamations in honor of National Boating Safety Week! Board members and staff visited Pascagoula, Gautier, Ocean Springs, and Moss Point City Halls, and the Jackson County Chamber to participate in the Proclamations.

The Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center will have a table at the Historical and Cultural Exposition in Biloxi on Friday and Saturday, and we would love to see you there!

Members of the Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center get a discount on the cost of the class!

The MSMC will have an educational booth at Sand Jam this year! We would love to see our community at this event in June.

Congratulations to Our Partners at the Pascagoula and Gautier School Districts!

The principal of Pascagoula High School, Dr. Caterria Payton, was named Mississippi Administrator of the Year; and the band director and teacher of Gautier Middle School, Louise Smith, was named Mississippi Teacher of the Year!

Bollinger Shipyards will be refitting the largest ship in the NOAA fleet, the Ronald H. Brown, here in Pascagoula.

Gordon Lightfoot Crosses The Bar


Gordan Lightfoot, maritime musical artist who wrote "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" recently passed away earlier this week.
