CaraPol Soft Feel Polymers

CaraPol Soft Feel Polymers are unique, soft touch, naturally matt, polyurethane dispersions with exceptional physical properties in abrasion resistance, flexibility, and water resistance. Based on their inherently matt characteristics, low gloss topcoat formulations can be produced without the need for external silica matting agents. By reducing or eliminating silica matting agents, the coating’s physical properties and surface feel are enhanced.

Application and Features

For paper, vinyl, leather, textile, wood, and rigid plastics CaraPol Soft Feel Polymers offer a variety of tactile properties. These polymers are compatible with most acrylic and polyurethane dispersions and can be crosslinked with water reducible polyisocyanates,

aziridines, polycarbodiimides, or melamines to enhance the overall performance.

The Pale Blue Dot

In June of 1990, the Voyager 1 spacecraft captured an image of earth 3.7 billion miles away. Carl Sagan, an American Astronomer, wrote a speech about that image to give some perspective on our world.

I took the liberty to narrate and share his speech in anticipation of the upcoming Holidays and the New Year. May we all be “kind with one another and preserve and cherish the pale blue dot . . . The only home we've ever known.”
