December Newsletter 2016
Empowering the Arts ~ Enriching the Community
Notes from the President

Well, Clark Haddad renovations passed by 1 vote! Thanks for voting! Many of us were confused about how to vote when we entered the meeting. While we still did not learn everything we wanted to know about the future management of the facility, we feel positive about the town's appreciation of the need for affordable community space.  Let’s see what comes next.

How can it be December this Thursday?   Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with family and friends.

We’re busy with last minute details for Sat night “Come Feast & Be Merrie – dress rehearsals, baking shortbread, mulling cider, making costumes and centerpieces, gathering candles. So festive! Please invite your neighbors & come join us for a real community meal with entertainment and carol singing by all.  We chose the night after the tree lighting for this event so we would keep the spirit going all weekend!  We have 20 luminaries, 15 singer/actors, 4 youth squires, 3 band members, 2 crew, and no partridge and no pear tree.  (The pears are in the centerpieces, and you’ll be singing “12 Days of Christmas” as our finale!).

Thanks in advance to all our performing artists, to the Visual Artists for all the décor, and to you volunteer Serving Wenches and decorators!   Come support what people have worked on so hard!

Buy your tickets on line and bring your meal (leftover turkey, perhaps?)!  Doors open at 6; show at 6:30. We’ll be done by 8 – not a late night—just a very good one.
