Dear SABI friends,


In this letter, we celebrate the successes of many of our members, faculty, and presenters at the SABI 2023 Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX. Maya Angelou defined success as “liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it”. As the academic home for many of us, SABI is indeed the place to share our passion for body imaging and ‘how we do it’. Notably, a common trait exists among those we celebrate, from our research and educational presenters to those we recognize for their contributions to body imaging and our wonderful Society with elevation to Fellowship status – their success is a byproduct of careful planning and hard work beginning many months or even years in advance of their academic achievements...

Recognition of SABI-authored articles


As SABI’s official journal, we encourage and support articles from SABI members. Our Associate Editors will soon be judging SABI-authored papers published in JCAT in 2022. Those judged the best will be recognized at the SABI Annual Meeting in the upcoming fall.


To be eligible for future awards, remember, at the time of submitting your work to JCAT, to answer “yes” to the question regarding whether at least one co-author is a SABI member (and that person must, at the time of submission, and throughout the remainder of the year, be a member in good standing to make sure they are accurately identified as a SABI member when we check author lists against the SABI member roster).
