I am thrilled that so many of you have already registered for the April 20 International Networking Mixer. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again. It was a well-attended event last year and it looks like it will sell out again this year.
We are finalizing the details for our Sweden National Day celebration. Keep your eyes open for an invitation to this event and Save the Date June 6, 2023 in your calendar. Our Sweden National Day celebration is an event people look forward to and this year we are thrilled to host it in collaboration with SACC GA member Axis Communications in the Sky Garden of the Pinnacle Building in Buckhead. The view of our beautiful city from up there is amazing.

International Women's Day |
|
The International Women’s Day Webinar, co-hosted by SACC Carolinas and SACC DC, was an inspiring event that brought together women from diverse backgrounds and industries to celebrate the achievements of women and discuss ways to advance gender equality. The event featured a panel of accomplished female leaders who shared their personal stories, insights, and advice. The panel consisted of Jesica Lindgren from Blue Star Strategies, Nancy Fischer from Pilsbury inc., Yelena Epova from Aprio, and Caroline Johansson from Zoe Hoop, and was moderated by Stacey Youngdale from Volvo Financial Services. It was a very successful event that reminded us of women's progress in the business world and the continued work that needs to be done to create a more equitable and inclusive society.

We will celebrate Valborgsmässoafton and the arrival of Spring with a traditional (small) bonfire. Our plans for the afternoon include a picnic dinner followed by a performance of classic spring songs by Vasa Drängar. The lodge will provide hot dogs (“varmkorv”) for everyone; beyond that, please plan to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. You’ll need to bring beverages other than coffee and water, which will be provided. (Remember that no alcohol is permitted at McFarlane Park.)
