I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our Sweden Day celebration next week. A huge THANK YOU to Axis Communications for co-hosting our celebration this year on the rooftop of their building. In 2023, Sweden celebrates its 500th anniversary. It has been 500 years since Gustav Vasa was elected as the king of Sweden on June 6th, during the parliamentary assembly in Strängnäs. That was the moment when Sweden became independent and has remained so ever since. That is why we celebrate Sweden’s National Day every year on June 6th.
I also want to urge you to save the dates September 13-15, 2023, on your calendars. SACC Detroit is this year's host of the annual SACC Summit. This year´s Summit will highlight the automation and digital manufacturing and will be held in connection to the North America International Auto Show, NAIAS.

This year´s Summit will highlight the automation and digital manufacturing and will be held in connection to the North America International Auto Show, NAIAS. The annual SACC Summit is a key event to support and facilitate economic expansion and business between the United States and Sweden.

A big welcome to our new member!
Devyser started out in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2004, when three young researchers joined forces to develop a new type of DNA test that put the user’s and patient´s needs first.
Devyser is expanding by opening up a CLIA lab in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
"The establishment of an in-house CLIA lab is an important milestone in our ambition to strengthen Devyser’s presence in the USA, the biggest IVD market in the world. Although the USA accounts for a minor share of our total sales to date we are convinced that North America and the US will ultimately become our most important and profitable market,” says Fredrik Alpsten, CEO of Devyser.

Annual Meeting & Membership Appreciation |

SACC-GA held their annual meeting and membership appreciation reception on May 22nd at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The event was a great success, and we thank everyone who attended. The event kicked off with a welcome from by our Executive Director Ida Pond. She spoke about the organization's accomplishments over the past year and thanked members for their support. Senior Deputy General Manager Michael Smith gave us a bird's eye view of the exciting things going on at the world's busiest airport.
Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a tour of the E Tower. We got a behind-the-scenes look at how the airport operates and answered questions about the challenges and rewards of the job. We would like to thank Alrene Barr for hosting us at the event. We had a wonderful time, great connections were made, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
