SACC-GA Newsletter | February 2019
MONTHLY NEWS & UPDATES
Greetings:

It is only February but what a great year it has been thus far!

We could not be more excited to announce that our 2019 Diamond Sponsor, Skanska, now provides the chamber with office space in their beautiful office in Downtown Atlanta.

As the new Executive Director I have set a goal to meet with all of our members this year. If I have not already contacted you please expect that I will be contacting you soon to see if there is a time we can meet at your office or if there is an event you are interested in attending with us here at the Chamber. I love hearing and sharing success stories and also welcome your input on what we can improve.

I have had the pleasure of attending meetings with both the Scandinavian Foundation and the Scandinavian Festival so far this year. It is great to see that we have such a large Scandinavian community in Atlanta.

Our corporate member IKEA is giving us an Exclusive Behind the Scenes tour of their Store. Join us for a Swedish lunch followed by a tour.

Sincerely,

Ida Pond

Chalmers and SACC Partnership
This is the third year Chalmers University of Technology and the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce have a partnership to place talented engineering students with SACC corporate members. We are searching for companies from a variety of industries, all across the United States, interested in hosting an intern from Chalmers. New for this year is that many students from Chalmers are interested in longer internship periods (up to 12 months) rather than a summer internship.

If your company is interested in gaining more information about hosting a Swedish intern please contact me, [email protected] or Bertta Järvinen (Trainee Program Outreach at SACC-USA) at  [email protected]
