Greetings!

Happy New Year! We are so very excited to start a new year with new and exciting events and initiatives.

We ended last year with our beautiful Lucia gala. We are as always very appreciative of our sponsors and everyone who was able to attend. For many of our members this event is truly the highlight of the year and we could not agree more. It is such a great way to celebrate Swedish culture, network and socialize. If you missed this great event, please add our Sweden day celebration to your calendar. June 6, 2019 SAVE THE DATE.
Looking ahead at the New Year we have great things planned. We are bringing back a concept we used several years ago where we invite our members to smaller luncheon events. We think this will allow for an excellent way for our members to make meaningful connections. In addition, we have our annual meeting, company tours and other networking events planned. We wish to see a lot of you all this year and we hope your New Year’s resolution this year is to attend more of our events and let us know how we could be of service.

PAST EVENTS
LUCIA PERFORMANCE AT IKEA
On December 7th the Swedish women's and children's choir lead by Mia Peters performed at SACC-GA's corporate member IKEA . While shoppers enjoyed the annual Julbord (Swedish Christmas Smorgasbord) in the IKEA restaurant, they could also listen to the beautiful singing from the choir, singing both Swedish and American Christmas Carols.
SWEDISH LUCIA PERFORMANCE
On December 9th Atlanta’s Nordic Lodge #708 presented its traditional Sankta Lucia celebration in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Midtown Atlanta. The evening featured the St. Lucia choir with children, women and men from the Swedish community, conducted by Mia Peters with piano accompaniment by Rand Lines.This year the renowned Swedish tenor, Niklas Björling Rygert also joined the performance with his beautiful voice. The celebration ended in a reception with coffee and baked goods. A wonderful evening in true Christmas spirit!
SACC-GA's 33RD ANNUAL LUCIA GALA
Thanks to everyone who celebrated the 33rd Annual Lucia Gala with us at SACC-GA and the Swedish-American community in Atlanta, December 15th at Druid Hills Golf Club. We had a great time and hope you did too!
