Dear SACC Texas Members and Friends,

I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Chairman and President of SACC Houston. Since joining the board in 2021, I’ve focused on supporting international business and legal collaboration. I currently lead Stenberg Law, PLLC, a Houston-based firm specializing in U.S. inbound investments, with previous experience from Kirkland & Ellis and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

First, let me extend our sincere thanks to André Persson, who has led the chamber with energy and dedication since 2021. We’re pleased he’ll remain on the board as Senior Advisor.

We also warmly welcome Anna Hammarlund Blixt, Sweden’s newly appointed Consul General in Houston, who joins our board as an Honorary Member. Anna brings nearly two decades of diplomatic experience from postings in Washington, Ankara, Brussels, and Stockholm, most recently serving as Director and Deputy Head of the Department for Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Export Control at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm.

(Read more about Consul General Hammarlund Blixt here.)

At the newly established Consulate General of Sweden in Houston, Consul General Anna Hammarlund Blixt and her team work to strengthen Sweden's presence in Texas. In addition to its core consular duties, the Consulate focuses on strengthening collaboration between Sweden and Texas in trade, investment, and innovation, with a focus on sectors such as space, energy, emerging technologies, and life sciences.

As we head into fall, we’re excited to continue strengthening business ties between Sweden and Texas while positioning SACC Houston as a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge, and growth. We’ve already started the season with a successful meeting with the Consul General and the Nordic Golf Tournament. We are now preparing for more cross-Nordic gatherings, including the upcoming Nordic Business Mingle.
