At the beginning of March we launched a brand new campaign to reach those who are looking for ways to claim faith and work toward liberation.
This campaign is an invitation to all who are looking for community and want to take action to live out faith rooted in justice. SO MANY of you said "YES, I am called to that work!"
WELCOME to everyone who's joined SACReD in the last two months! We're so excited to be in this work with you.
Together are expanding the SACReD community, changing the narrative about what it means to be a person of faith and build solidarity to make Reproductive Justice our lived reality.
Next month we'll share more details about the outcomes of the campaign and what is next for our work. In the meantime, check out the creators and podcasts we partnered with for this campaign.

The SACReD Gathering is for all who are committed to engaging faith to make Reproductive Justice a lived reality: ministers & lay leaders, organizers & activists, chaplains & health care providers, students & scholars, YOU!
This multi-faith event is designed to deepen our connections, craft healing together, hone our organizing skills, and amplify our courage to build reproductive dignity and bodily autonomy for all.
Whether you are already an organizer, a faith leader, or you simply want to learn and grow with like-minded people, we hope to see you in CINCINNATI!

Showing Up for Racial Justice and Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice are partnering to help congregations respond to division and lead efforts for change in their communities.
This nine-month cohort helps Christian churches reclaim the gospel’s call for abundant life while building and strengthening ministries to address poverty, racism, and Christian nationalism. Together, churches will practice rebuilding community connections, meeting urgent needs, and faithfully confronting attacks on their communities.
Luke 10 gathers denominationally and theologically diverse churches who are ready to:
- Take collective action in their local context.
- Respond to injustice and division with grace, courage, and truth.
- Draw from the Bible and your church’s practices to proclaim a vision for a just society.
Churches should consider themselves “ready” for the program if they have 4-5 people who are committed to fully participating in the cohort and bringing key learnings and action steps back to the church. These 4-5 people compose a congregational leadership team that should be prepared to spend 8-10 hours per month on this process.
Applications are due June 1.

Are you an ex-fundie, an exvangelical, or a progressive Christian who was subjected to religious trauma? Do you have a story to tell?
Lucas Wilson is editing a new anthology of short stories about 2SLGBTQ+ religious trauma, and is searching for emerging and established writers interested in writing about how their time in high-control Christianity wounded them.

Rooted in both spiritual and ancestral frameworks, participants are empowered with the tools necessary to grow, protect, and nurture their families.
