Happy April - National Donate Life Month!

National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was established

by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003.

Celebrated in April each year, NDLM features an entire month

of local, regional and national activities to help encourage

Americans to register as organ, eye/cornea and tissue donors

and to celebrate those who have saved and healed lives

through the gift of donation.

We're hosting a Gift of Sight, Donate Life donor registry

and information booth at the Mission Marquee Farmers & Artisans

Market, located at 3100 Roosevelt Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78214

on Saturday, April 4th from 9am to 1pm.

Thank you to Donate Life Texas for providing us with the

vibrant green Donate Life themed pop-up tent for the day.

 A yoga fitness class will kick off the market at 9 a.m.

All fitness levels are welcome. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance and taking photos with the community from 10-11 AM.

Promptly at 11 AM, join in the EGGciting Easter Egg Hunt.

Consider attending to find fresh, locally sourced foods and explore the handmade crafts and products from local pop-up vendors.

National Donate Life Blue and Green Day - Photo Contest

A fun way to celebrate and potentially win a $100 prize, is to participate

in the National Donate Life Blue and Green Day Photo Contest.

There are multiple photo submission categories : Adults & Groups,

Pets, Kids & Teens, Clinical Partners and more. Entries will be accepted

April 10 through April 17, 11:59pm EST. Click here to learn more details.

If you decide to participate in the national contest or participate

in any of the celebration calendar activities, we'd like to see your photos.

we'll re-share our favorites throughout the month.

Last year we supported girl scout troops in San Antonio

and Harlingen earn their Donate Life Girl Scout Patch,

during November - National Eye (Cornea) Donation Month.

We're excited to share that we will be hosting

a Gift of Sight, Donate Life Flag Raising

at Girls Scouts of Southwest Texas - The Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center in San Antonio, near the

last week of April. Specific details will be shared

soon on social media and our website.
