April 12 - Thank you to The Valley Business Journal for highlighting Camp HOPE Riverside County. Camp HOPE is more than just a summer experience. It is a place where youth impacted by trauma find safety, build confidence, and begin to heal. Through mentorship, connection, and positive experiences, campers are given the opportunity to rediscover their strength and envision a brighter future.
We are grateful to share this work with our community and proud of the impact Camp HOPE continues to make in the lives of the youth we serve. And we are just getting started.

Join Us as a Camp HOPE Counselor
Looking to do something meaningful this summer?
We are currently seeking HOPE Counselors, ages 18 to 24, to join us June 15 through June 20 at Camp HOPE. This is a unique opportunity to mentor youth, build confidence, and help create moments that will stay with them long after camp ends.
No experience is needed. Just bring your energy, your authenticity, and a willingness to show up and make a difference.

Shelter from the Storm Presentation
April 12 - Indio Supervising Family Specialist Selena recently had the opportunity to present to Shelter from the Storm. We are grateful for their partnership and the important work they do to support survivors of domestic violence in the Coachella Valley. Together, we are strengthening our ability to serve individuals and families in need and ensure they have access to safety, support, and a path forward.

Restoring Strength and SA Awareness Workshop
April 13 and 17 - At Restoring Strength, our women's aftercare program, survivors began with a calming activity that included coloring, creating space to relax and connect. They then spent time interacting with horses, experiencing a sense of healing and comfort through that connection. Throughout the experience, participants bonded with one another, shared their journeys, and found support in a safe and empowering environment.
During our Sexual Assault Awareness event, clients and survivors decorated jeans as a symbol of protest and solidarity for Denim Day. Participants connected with one another and with the horses in a supportive, healing space. Their decorated jeans were later displayed at the Denim Day event, helping to raise awareness and honor the voices and experiences of survivors.

Riverside Staff & Partner Potluck
April 7 - Our Riverside Center recently hosted a staff and partner potluck that brought everyone together for a meaningful afternoon of connection. We work so closely alongside one another each day, and it was so special to take time to bond outside of our usual roles. It was an honor to have the Riverside Police detectives who work within our center cooking on the grill for everyone. We are incredibly grateful for both our dedicated staff and our valued partners.

April 21 and 23 - SAFE Family Justice Centers was honored to attend community events in Palm Desert and Riverside in recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. These gatherings provided meaningful opportunities to stand alongside survivors, raise awareness, and reinforce the importance of ensuring every victim’s voice is heard. We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support, uplift, and advocate for individuals and families impacted by violence.

April 25 - We were proud to stand alongside our community at HOPE Collaborative’s Rally for Prevention at the Temecula Duck Pond in recognition of Child Abuse Awareness Month. It was a meaningful opportunity to come together, raise awareness, and stand united in support of children and families. Together, we showed up, spoke out, and reinforced our shared commitment to prevention, safety, and healing. Moments like these remind us of the power of community and the importance of continuing this work year-round.

We Stand with Survivors! Denim Day!
April 29 - SAFE Family Justice Centers was proud to stand alongside our community in recognition of Denim Day. Our Temecula Center hosted a meaningful event bringing people together to raise awareness, support survivors, and challenge harmful victim blaming myths, while our Indio team joined the movement at College of the Desert. These moments reflect the power of community coming together to create space for healing, education, and lasting change. We are grateful to everyone who wore denim, showed up, and used their voice to stand with survivors.

Teen Dating Violence Awareness
We invite our community to come together for an evening of advocacy, remembrance, and awareness as we honor the life of Cadence Eileen, a local Murrieta teen whose life was tragically taken by dating violence. Through sharing her story, we aim to raise awareness about the realities of teen dating violence, provide education and resources, and create space for healing and connection. Together, we can speak up, support one another, and work toward a future where every young person is safe.
