NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
Safe Harbor Thrift Shop & Donation Center
Safe Harbor's Thrift Shop and Donation Center is officially open to the public. Come shop our brand-name labels at thrift shop prices! Store hours are Monday through Friday, 11am to 2pm for shopping AND donations. All proceeds go to support the operating expenses of Safe Harbor’s seven programs.

As always, our Thrift Shop & Donation Center provides clothing and shoes to all of Safe Harbor’s clients for free. From our group homes to our outreach programs to our rape crisis center, our shop is vital to meeting their needs. In addition, Safe Harbor has partnered with Communities in Schools and Glynn Community Crisis (Amity House) to allow their clients to shop for free with vouchers. During the summer months, our Thrift Shop is utilized to train and teach our youth the vocational skills needed to enter the workforce.

We are located at  1600 Norwich Street (parking is available in the lot behind the building). We hope to see you there! We accept new and gently-used clothing and shoes in all sizes, for all ages!
STRIVE GROWTH
Safe Harbor's STRIVE Transitional Living has only been in existence for seven months and already, two of our four girls have had great success moving up through the program! One of our girls just graduated high school while another has met her goals in our group home setting and has moved out to our first apartment. She is sure to be joined soon by other residents as they complete their goals and move up and out.
CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS
Christmas was a huge success for our kids this year. This year, we were able to help over 75 children from our various programs including our Children's Shelter, Zach's Place , Children's Advocacy Center , Street Beat and our Family Preservation Program . Through the kindness and generosity of over 90 donors including churches, corporations and individuals, our kids had the best Christmas yet! In addition to purchasing items and providing meals for families, some of our donors even helped wrap presents. If you'd like to be involved next year as a donor or a Christmas wrapper, please click the link below! It's never to early to start thinking like Santa Claus!
RAISING AWARENESS

The employees of Safe Harbor's Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) and Safe Harbor's Connie Smith Rape Crisis Center (CSRCC) are all about raising awareness! Their goal is to educate community members and other organizations about the presence of both programs since many people don't know about them.

In a nutshell, our Children's Advocacy Center provides forensic interviews, forensic medical exams and rehabilitative care to child victims of abuse throughout the Brunswick judicial circuit.

Our Connie Smith Rape Crisis Center provides a location for prevention, intervention, support services and investigation of sexual assault for adults and children. We help to stabilize the lives of the victims and their families by supporting their physical and emotional healing while assisting them through the judicial process.
SAFE HARBOR AT DCA MEETING
Our staff -- Leslie Hartman, Amanda Brand, Jeff Clark , Sharron Atkinson and Chelsea Parker -- pictured with DCA staff members.
We recently attended a training at the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Housing Symposium in Savannah. This training was for working with our homeless population for Street Beat, our street outreach program, and Zach's Place , our Runaway and Homeless Youth Emergency Shelter. In June, we will be doing a point in time count of our local homeless youth.
