Special Local Regulation (SLR) For A Mock Tallship Battle

Hello Dana Point Boater,

1. CAPTAIN OF THE PORT (COPT) HAS ESTABLISHED A SPECIAL LOCAL REGULATION (SLR) FOR A MOCK TALLSHIP BATTLE WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN THE VICINITY OF DANA POINT HARBOR ON SEPTEMBER 12 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 14, 2025, FROM 1600 TO 1900 LOCAL. APPROXIMATELY 10 VESSELS WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN CLOSE MANEUVERS AND THE FIRING OF BLANK CHARGES.

2. THE SLR WILL ENCOMPASSES ALL NAVIGABLE WATERS BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:

33- 27.32' N, 117- 43.27' W

33- 26.51' N, 117- 42.20' W

33- 27.35' N, 117- 41.77' W

33- 27.42' N, 117- 42.13' W

3. DURING THE ENFORECMENT PERIOD, VESSELS NOT PATRICPATING IN THE EVENT ARE PROHIBITED FORM ENTERING, TRANSITING THROUGH, OR REMANING WITHIN THE SLR UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE COTP OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE.

4. VESSELS WILL BE MONITORING VHF CHANNEL 16, 13, 88A.
