About the Program

Podcasting has experienced a tumultuous year. As the industry recovers from widespread layoffs, studio consolidations, and cancelled deals, how can the industry become more equitable and sustainable? Sue-Anne Morrow, National Director of Contract Strategic Initiatives & Podcasts at SAG-AFTRA, shares how protecting the rights of creators is vital to podcasting’s future.

Join the Beverly Hills Bar Association for a ‘fireside chat’ that will cover SAG-AFTRA’s recent Independent and Micro Pod Agreements, the fine line between video and audio in new media, and what the podcast industry can learn from last year’s labor movement across other areas of entertainment.

Submit your questions to Sue-Anne by Friday, April 26 using this form.

Sue-Anne Morrow is National Director of SAG-AFTRA’s Podcast Department and spearheaded the establishment of new, dedicated Podcast Agreements and a streamlined signatory process that allows podcasters and podcast producers to easily cover their podcasts under a SAG-AFTRA contract.

She is also National Director of SAG-AFTRA’s Department of Contract Strategic Initiatives, which identifies and engages with opportunities and challenges that arise from developments in the entertainment and advertising industries, particularly those driven by new technologies and platforms. She brings over two decades of experience as a performer to her work.
