Greetings from the SAGA School!

We are back in session and enjoying the halls alive with the sound of shuffling feet, laughter and sometimes even singing. All of our students enjoyed an Apple Cider press event in September, learning first hand how apples turn to juice. Our elementary classrooms just finished an amazing unit on Frida Kahlo to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Yesterday we learned about Diwali. Now, on to Halloween fun and creating our lanterns for St. Martin's Day.

We hope that you will join us for our upcoming Laternenfest celebration (November 7th) and our Annual Winter Bazaar on the 2nd of December. These celebrations are open to everyone and they are more fun with members of our larger community! Willkommen!

Celebrating 10 Years at SAGA ~ Silvia Phillips

We are pleased and excited to announce the 10 year anniversary of staff member Silvia Phillips! Many of your children have benefitted from her guidance and care through SAGA's preschool, afternoon preschool playgroup or summer camp programs.

Silvia has been the Marienkaefer Head Teacher for many years. She is a soft spoken, gentle and caring individual. Silvia's patience while working with our young children is amazing and she finds joy in watching her students grow and learn new things. SAGA is lucky to continue to have her as part of the SAGA team and benefit from her experience, determination, and expertise.

Please join us in congratulating her on this important milestone! Do you have a favorite memory of her that you would like to share or would you like to take this opportunity to thank her for being a part of your child's life? Cards, photos, or memories can be dropped off at the front office, sent to the school via post to SAGA School, c/o Silvia Phillips, 11010 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133 or emailed to [email protected]. SAGA looks forward to many more years with Silvia!
