#1 Your Vote Counts
The City of Tucson Democrat Primary is August 27 th and mail ballots have been distributed. The Mayoral race and Ward 1 primary election will most likely be decided in the primary. 

City residents who are registered as a member of the Democratic, Republican or Libertarian Party and live in Wards 1, 2 or 4 will automatically receive a ballot by mail for the Mayoral race and the Council Member race for their Ward. 

This is a mail ballot only election. The final day to mail back ballots is August 21 st. After that, voters can drop off ballots at various voting locations found here.  
#2 BRE to Host Marana Mayor - Open to All Members
The primary objective of SAHBA’s Business Referral Exchange group is to share business leads with a network of trusted professionals. Around 20 members attend the bi-monthly meeting which features a spotlight presentation from someone in the group.

 The BRE is also a source for all SAHBA members. At their next meeting on Tuesday, August 20th they are hosting Marana Mayor Ed Honea to discuss business opportunities in the town. Every SAHBA member is welcomed and encouraged to attend. 
#3 Sahuarita Town Council to Select New Members
With the recent resignation of Council Members Lynne Skelton and Dalia Zimmerman, the Sahuarita Town Council has been tasked with appointing two new Council Members. This unique opportunity will have significant impact on the Council and future policy decisions for the Town.

Twenty-four candidates have submitted applications seeking to be interviewed by Town Council. The Mayor and Council will conduct scheduled interviews August 19th. Once selected, new Council Members will be sworn in on August 26th.

#5 Did You Get a "Bounce Back"?
For several days at the end of last week, SAHBA experienced an outage of our email system. While our IT team worked feverishly on the issue and was able to restore things over the weekend we know many emails to us bounced back as undeliverable.
