WOW! We had a fantastic response for our Holiday Open-House celebration last Friday.

It was a great time to catch-up with fellow members and enjoy holiday cheer. Most importantly, our members stepped up big time providing Toys for Tots! It’s your willingness to build a better community that makes SAHBA such a great organization.

Special thank you to Pima Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the event and Vista Point Properties for connecting us with a great cause. If you didn’t get a chance to stop by on Friday, there is still time to drop off a toy by Thursday at 5pm.

SAHBA Councils and Committees are an essential component of our organization. They are a venue for networking, education and addressing key industry issues. Members of the committee take time from their busy day to attend.

Whether it was saving future home buyers $2,000 per home in the City of Tucson by securing a deferral of a planned impact fee increase, donating $15,000 to TMM Family Services from a hugely successful golf outing or co-producing the So. AZ Construction Career Day event, none of it could be possible without teamwork.

Our professional staff, members, strategic partners and government officials worked tirelessly to build a better Southern Arizona!

This week’s “spotlight” member is Adam Stewart, Vice President of Home Loans with Pima Federal Credit Union. Adam has been in the Credit Union and Mortgage Lending industry for 19 years in sales, operations and leadership. He loves to learn new things and be involved in the community, so the Tucson Real Estate market is the perfect place for him to call home.

Adam is a newer member of SAHBA, but he is not new to the construction world. After having flipped houses and built spec houses over the years, Adam found something he loves – the smell of new construction (that’s a thing)! He loves to see a project come together with the right house on the right lot, with the new homeowner loving everything about it. For that reason, he recently rolled out a Custom Construction Program at Pima Federal, a one-time close loan up to 90% of the value with a 30-year fixed rate term.

Help the Gary Sinise Foundation “Buy A Brick” program for the Brewer Home in Tucson, AZ!

The dedication Ceremonies for the smart home that Hayes Construction is building for a wounded Veteran is fast approaching.  

One of the ways the Sinise Foundation defers the cost of this mortgage-free home is by individuals and companies ‘buying a brick’ (with your message) to surround the flagpole in the Brewer’s front yard.

There are two opportunities to support this wonderful foundation and their R.I.S.E. program.  Simply follow the instructions on the attached form and email it in by this Friday, December 21 ^st   to be included in the dedication ceremony. Or, if you miss the deadline, your brick will be placed 6 weeks after the dedication.

Thank you for your tax-deductible support for this wonderful organization!
