Pima County has initiated its impact fee update process and is proposing a significant increase to both their residential and non-residential transportation impact fees. 

Join SAHBA and MPA Members for an informative lunch meeting with Kathryn Skinner of Pima County’s Department of Transportation. Kathryn will be presenting attendees with an in depth look at Pima County’s proposed transportation impact fees, specifically the draft Land Use Assumptions (LUA) and Infrastructure Improvement Projects (IIP) list.

NOTE: You can bring your own lunch to the session, if you'd like to eat.

#3 SAHBA Cited as Regional Partner at Sahuarita State of the Town
Last Friday, at the annual State of the Town Address, Mayor Tom Murphy expressed his appreciation for home building activity in the Town and specifically cited SAHBA as a valued partner of the Town for our collaboration and advocacy. We greatly appreciate the Mayor’s comments and will continue to remain an advocate for our members. We believe that by working together with the Mayor, Council and staff, we can develop policies that encourage growth and make Sahuarita a great place to live, work and raise a family. 
#4 Help Shape Tucson's Role As an Innovative City
The Tenwest Impact Festival is coming to Tucson.

This is a full-day Conference on October 11, 2019 to discover practical solutions and learn best practices for how Tucson can continue to develop strategies and policies for the future.

The conference takes place at the Tucson Convention Center.
#5 Free Lunch + Invaluable Training
Tucson Electric Power has partnered with a third party trainer to bring a free training session on September 30th to Tucson, focusing on energy efficiency dedicated for contractors. The training will be held at the UniSource building in downtown Tucson.

These training sessions are becoming essential in today's energy crisis and will benefit everyone that attends, as it relates to building science and reducing the energy consumption of the built environment.

HMX, the Home Merchandising Experience, is a full day summit that BDX will be hosting in Austin, TX on October 22nd and 23rd, 2019!

They are bringing top builders and manufacturers together to discuss online design centers, retail merchandising, buyer and product trends, content best practices, Envision, and more!

And as with all of the BDX events, they will make sure your time in Austin is filled with fun, good food, and plenty of opportunities to network.
Attend the virtual presentation on September 26th to hear Jeff Meyers co-host a Homebuilding & Technology webcast with executives from BDX and Avid Ratings. The discussion will focus on “Technology in Homebuilding” and today’s state of the union.
