Santa Ana High School on Right Track
to Grow Academically

District officials visit schools throughout Santa Ana Unified School District four times during each year to monitor and support the growth of what we refer to as the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). At Santa Ana High School , so many caring professionals are igniting the many ways that support can be offered to "Our Kids." There is a reason why in an age of Charter, Private, and Specialized Schools, Santa Ana High School remains the largest and fastest growing school in the City of Santa Ana, if not the County. Waiting Lists are a key indicator that maybe something BIG is happening. Furthermore, as the State of California Dashboard indicates, Santa Ana High School had the highest GROWTH out of all High schools in the district in relationship to the State's SBAC Assessment . With much work ahead, the effort and passion that goes behind teachers, staff, parents, administrators, and district leadership and district support staff - There is much to celebrate in terms of academic GROWTH and the Socio-Emotional Health and Well-Being of "Our Kids!" - Believe in "Our Kids" Long Enough and With Actionable Steps and wherefore- it shall be. Nothing but hope for "Our Kids" future.
Welcome Actor, Jim Casman!

Dance team retreats
to Idyllwild Pines
SanArts Dance Conservatory just returned from our annual Weekend Dance Retreat. Our dancers experienced the "Embody You" curriculum designed by  Akari Takahashi  to help dancers embrace and appreciate who they are and accepting to everyBODY. The chant, " I got you, we got you, I got this" had my students dig deep and express themselves in profound and powerful ways. Just look at their faces and feel their energy, and you will see the intent that was the focus of the weekend. My dancers hiked, journaled, bonded while sharing their thoughts and feelings, wrote poetry on the mountain top and of course, danced and danced and danced. Special thanks to Akari for sharing her "magic" with us.  Cyndi Whitted-Hermann  and  Heather Janis Moothart  - always love our collaboration -
