Legal Studies Academy
SAHS White Prosecution Team took their initial walk from school to the Central Superior Court down Flower St. They participated in a growing tradition of "The Walk" which builds community pride. High School students dressed professionally en route to litigate a complex criminal case in front of numerous scoring attorneys and an actual presiding judge. Tonight, this novice team excelled with Kassandra Perez gardnering MVP mention. Join the SAHS White and Red Teams start Countywide Competition this Thursday Night, Nov 7th at 5pm. The Saints will have a total of 8 attorneys litigating; 8 witnesses testifying and 2 Court Clerks recording time. SAHS RED will lead with Joseph Acevedo who will be seeking a repeat "Top Pre-Trial Attorney Award for the County". Last year's Top Witness Award Winner, Eric Martinez will join Samantha Aguilera and Paulina Aguilar as repeat prosecutors for the State. Stephanie Gutierrez will lead the novice SAHS White team with co-counsel of two sophomores, Kassandra Perez and Natalie Olivares and junior Jesse Cedeno. The teams have devoted numerous hours in preparation outside and in class for this case. Special thanks to all attorneys and judges giving advise in the process. Saint litigators ROCK!

Orange High School Dethrone " Saints " After 6th Try... After beating the Panthers 5 seasons Orange High School Finally Defeats BIG RED - 57-13
The young " Saints ," unlike many other teams in CIF, ended this year's regular season play in a game to decide a league championship. The game against Orange High School, decided who would be crowned as the 2019-20 Orange Coast League Champions. For the past two years, the " Saints " won the OCL Championship... and before that, one year, as the Goldenwest League Champions. This year, the Panthers ended their regular season as Champions of the OCL. Congratulations!
"Our Kids" are young and will emerge stronger as Coach "T" and his Coaching Staff, prepare for next week's post season, CIF play. As I've said before and I will say it again, " That which does not kill you, makes you stronger!" "Our Kids" will be ready for the challenge as they learn what post-season play is all about and emerge even tougher, stronger and quicker - regardless of who won or lost. It's the journey and the future looks bright for "Our Kids." " Saint Nation " looks forward to next week's CIF Playoff Game... After this loss, Coach "T" told his young " Saint" scholar-athletes, " "Getting knocked down and getting back up is part of growing up to be a man." Coach went on to explain that, " You are judged more in times of defeat as a man in defeat. It's easy to show who you are when you are winning, but much harder to do after a loss." Coach "T" and his Coaching Staff are builders of young men and scholar-athletes. Santa Ana High School's Football Players and students under this coaches' care are WINNERS no matter the score...
