SAHS Film Academy visit
TCL Chinese Theatre movie palace on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame
“I am here. Here I am.”
Knowing that your story is an integral part of being visible and also of being of permanence in this world is something I have always believed firmly in. How we choose to share of ourselves and our stories with others is magical and a space of creativity that we are so lucky to participate in in this world, we just have to find out way to be heard.
We went to  TCL Chinese Theatres  to watch the film, “Troop Zero” In rural 1977 Georgia, a misfit girl dreams of life in outer space. When a competition offers her a chance to be recorded on NASA's Golden Record, she recruits a makeshift troop of Birdie Scouts, forging friendships that last a lifetime. In rural 1977 Georgia, a misfit girl dreams of life in outer space.
Which begs the question: what will you leave behind?
- Sofia Cuevas, Film teacher
Another great performance from our Saint actors in "Almost, Maine"
Simple - Beautiful Play, Beautiful Teacher, Beautiful " Saint " Theatre Performers, and Beautiful Culture and Climate Where "Our Kids" and Staff Can Thrive ... and "Prove What's Possible!" Sitting there during our performance of, "Almost, Maine," I could not but think how Dedicated and Committed "Our Kids" are, to take on various roles, memorize oodles of lines and language, and exert the passion and energy it takes to go above and beyond. Their smiles, energy and bright radiant light.. continue to fill me and anyone else that associates with "Our Kids." Any student that puts forth what they put forth knows there are adults that deeply care and love them.  Terry Schwinge  -

Legal Studies Academy recruitment event packed with hundreds of future law professionals
The Hispanic National Bar Association sponsored a recruitment event for the Elizabeth G Macias Legal Studies Academy at Santa Ana High School for 2020 prospective 9th-11th grade students. Over 100 students attended this event in the library. They heard from EGMLSA alumni at SAC in the Law Pathway, watched two Mock Trial Attorneys in live action. They had lunch and heard fron 4 local practicing attorneys: Eric Dominguez; Rafeal Nendel Flores; Cristal Martinez; and Lyo Figueroa. Judge Macias over course attended and inspired as usual. The Big Moment was the number of students circling these attorneys up to 1 hour after in close conversations about their careers and guidance.
That is the key to the Academy.
