USDOL has awarded SAI a $5 million cooperative agreement to prevent and reduce forced labor and child labor abuses in the Malaysian palm oil and garment industries, with an emphasis on worker, civil society, and sectoral engagement. We will work with partners Proforest, The Centre for Child Rights and Business, and Our Journey, as well as other stakeholders.

SAI and tech partner, Vertru, will host a virtual launch event and panel discussion on January 31, 2022 to mark the official launch of our FairCapacity Platform and Production Capacity Calculator in Bangladesh. The event will feature speakers from funders, the EU and Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS), in addition to the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD), BGMEA, Team Group, Fair Labor Association (FLA), Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS), Entrust Fashions Ltd., and Renaissance Group.
