MY Voice Launches Child Rights Action Hub

The Child Rights Action Hub, implemented under the SAI-led MY Voice initiative, was launched in Malaysia on World Day Against Child Labor (June 12, 2024).

The Action Hub, the first of its kind in Malaysia, is building a community-based, long term child labor prevention and remediation system guided by children's best interests. It facilitates collaborative action, enabling brands, retailers, and local plantations to participate in join activities and address child labor risks in their palm oil supply chain, including in the most remote areas. It is supported by a network of local remediation service providers and case managers.

Anker Research Institute

Launch of Sub-National Estimates

Sub-National Estimates are living wage and living income estimates, following the Anker Methodology, that address variations in living costs between different regions in the same country. They provide location-specific living wage and income estimates across a given country, using secondary data analysis and Anker Benchmark Studies as anchor points to validate results.

Brazil is the pioneer project for the Anker Subnational Estimates. It is an excellent laboratory for assessing and estimating differences in living costs and living wages, due to both its well-known huge disparities and excellent data on intra-country differences.

Visit the Anker Research Institute website to learn more.

The Anker Research Institute is the independent research arm of the Global Living Wage Coalition (GLWC) and SAI is the institutional host.
