Richmond, VA—SAM Action announces the launch of a digital and physical ad campaign targeting several Virginia lawmakers who support House Bill 642:

HB 642 would block cities and towns from banning pot shops as the state creates its commercial marijuana market.
“House Bill 642 is a clear danger to public health,” said SAM CEO Kevin A. Sabet. “Not only would it commercialize and normalize a dangerous drug; it would also be a huge commercial favor to Big Weed—and a slap in the face to any Virginian who objects to an addiction-for-profit industry making a beachhead in their neighborhood. Marijuana drives mental illness and crime and wrecks public health and safety. Towns and cities who want to just say no should absolutely have that right.”
