FINAL DELEGATE INFORMATION REMINDER

With only a few days until we welcome you to join us for the first combined Orthopaedic and Physiotherapist Congress, in Cape Town, at UCT GSB Academic Conference Centre, Breakwater Lodge, V&A Waterfront.



We would like to remind you of the following important information.

DELEGATE CONGRESS NAME BADGE

Your name badge is the official pass and must be worn at all times to obtain entry to all congress sessions, teas and coffees, and networking function.

CONGRESS REGISTRATION TIMES

Friday, 12th - Sunday 14th May (07h00 - 08h00)

On arrival at UCT Graduate school of business (GSB) Academic Conference Centre at PROTEA Hotel by MARRIOTT® Cape Town Breakwater Lodge, please make your way into the foyer area of the Conference Centre. Here, you will find the registration kiosks for the collection of your badge and congress bag.

CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD points will be allocated according to the rules and regulations of the Health Professions council of South Africa. 

All delegates will need to scan the QR code at the Registration Desk once daily for CPD points.

Ethical points will be allocated separately for Ethics lecture – please ensure that you sign attendance at the venue.


The SASES Congress has been CPD accredited for the following points

Full Congress attendance: 19 Clinical points


The Ethics allocation may be retrospectively adjusted based on new content submitted to the accreditor in due course.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME AND INDUSTRY PARTNER SPONSORED PRESENTATIONS

Workshops are repeated from 08:00 – 08:50 and the same speaker and topic in the same venue again from 09:00 – 09:50. This is a great opportunity for delegates to be able to attend more than one workshop.

For those who would like to present cases within the case discussions slots allocated to the specific topics within the program, please contact the person allocated to co-ordinating the cases for that specific session. These cases will need to be sent to the allocated person prior to the congress.

SPEAKER PREP ROOM

The Speaker Prep | Ready Room is in the basement behind the Auditorium (Plenary venue) at the UCT Graduate School of Business Conference Centre and will be signposted.

All presentations must be saved onto USB pens or memory sticks and handed to the technical crew at the Speaker Prep Room

The opening times are as follows:

Friday, 12 May 2023: 07h00 – 17h00

Saturday, 13 May 2023 - 06h30 – 17h00

Sunday, 14 May 2023: 07h00 – 11h30

EXHIBITION, LUNCHES AND TEA BREAKS

Trade exhibits will be held in the Exhibition hall located in Rooms 1,2 & 3, on

level 0. The Exhibition hall will be open from Friday to Sunday and will offer the latest technology in the fields of Orthopaedic Surgery.



All teas and lunches will be served in the Exhibition Hall.

MOBILE PHONES/CELL PHONES AND WI-FI

As a courtesy to speakers and other delegates please ensure that your mobile phones are on silent or on airplane mode before entering congress sessions.

The venue provides free high speed wi-fi for all devices. You will receive a access code with your namebadge.
