SAT TEST REGISTRATION INFORMATION

REGISTATION
Our SAT testing date is MAY 4th , 2019 at 8:00 a.m . at the Academy: 1637 Long Beach Blvd.

The deadline for SAT registration is APRIL 5th. Students will need to register with College Board and pay $47.50 for the SAT, or $64.50 for the SAT with essay component (unless they qualify for a fee waiver* ).
SAVE THE DATE
  • Feb 15, during advisory: College Seekers- Narrowing down the College Search

  • Feb 21, 7 p.m.: Parent Academy. Financial Aid Workshop

  • May 2, 7 p.m.: Parent Academy. Admissions Process. How to be College Ready.
In order to support our students with this process, we will be gathering students together next week who are interested in taking the exam, and answering any of their questions.
IMPORTANT!
It is imperative student registration is done independently, completed in partnership with a parent/guardian in order to complete the payment for the exam. Academy staff is unable to register students.

Once completed, please provide confirmation of registration to Mrs. Sanders.
*FEE WAIVER INFORMATION
Fee waivers are only available to 11th grade students who also qualify for free or reduced lunch. If you are eligible, please contact Mrs. Sanders to request your fee waiver form. There are only a limited amount available, so waivers are distributed by need, on a first come, first serve basis.
WHAT TO BRING THE DAY OF THE TEST

WHAT NOT TO BRING ON THE DAY OF THE TEST
  • Any devices, including digital watches, that can be used to record, transmit, receive, or play back audio, photographic, text, or video content (with the exception of CD players used for Language with Listening Subject Tests only)
  • Audio players/recorders, tablets, laptops, notebooks, Google Glass, or any other personal computing devices
  • iPods or other MP3 players
  • iPads or other tablet devices
  • Laptops, notebooks, PDAs or any other personal computing devices
  • Any texting device
  • Cameras or any other photographic equipment
  • Separate timers of any type
  • Protractors, compasses, rulers
  • Highlighters, colored pens, colored pencils
  • Pamphlets or papers of any kind
  • Dictionaries or other books—there are no exceptions, even if English is not your first language
  • Food or drinks (except for during breaks), unless approved by the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities. Learn more about testing with accommodations.
