Schools across the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) celebrated the first day of the 2024-25 school year today with balloon displays, photo opportunities and special activities! Follow our schools and departments online to learn more about how we’re ringing in the new year.

SAUSD Leaders Gear Up for 2024-25 School Year with Leadership Symposium


To kick off the 2024-25 school year, SAUSD leaders came together for a dynamic two-day Leadership Symposium held at Godinez Fundamental H.S. This year’s symposium, themed “Imagine the Unimaginable,” focused on how vision and innovation can revolutionize classroom experiences across the district. SAUSD Class of 2024 Summer Graduation Highlights

SAUSD Summer Scholars Dive into Local History


This summer, students in The People’s History of Orange County class did more than just learn about local history—they experienced it firsthand! Our scholars embarked on several field trips, taking guided walking tours through vibrant communities such as Little Texas, Little Arabia, Little Saigon, and Putuidem Village. Parent Engagement Shines at SAUSD Summer Loteria Events


This summer, our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team hosted a series of SAUSD Loteria Family events, where fun meets learning. These events have provided families with a unique way to learn more about our departments, resources, and interesting facts about our district through an SAUSD-inspired Loteria game. SAUSD Promotes Healthy Living with Chef Zamora


Recently, our parents and students had the opportunity to learn from Chef Zamora as he led a hands-on workshop in crafting delicious and nutritious licuados (smoothies). Under Chef Zamora’s guidance, participants discovered the art of healthy meal prep and explored the numerous benefits of incorporating smoothies into their daily routines. SAUSD Students Shine at AC Green Summer Camp


SAUSD students had an unforgettable experience at the AC Green Summer Camp, where they participated in basketball, soccer, and flag football, all led by the legendary "Iron Man" himself, AC Green. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved. Watch a short recap of the camp here.

Sierra Preparatory Academy Students Shine in Business Mini Camp Presentation


Students at Sierra Preparatory Academy recently demonstrated their hard work and creativity during a special showcase by the Sierra Business Mini Camp. These budding entrepreneurs delved into complex business topics, including data research and entrepreneurial skills. In an exciting Shark Tank-style presentation, they pitched their innovative business ideas, vying for “funding” from a loan shark. Click here for a short video.

Sainty Film Interns Shine in New Commercial for CRAVE!


Our talented students in the Sainty Film Internship Program at Santa Ana H.S. have been busy showcasing their skills! Recently, they collaborated to create a marketing commercial for CRAVE restaurant in Downtown Santa Ana. From storyboarding and brainstorming to crafting shot lists and bringing their vision to life, these future filmmakers are truly making their mark. Watch a short video of their work here.
