SAUSD Earns Golden Bell Award for Engage 360 Program

On Dec. 5, 2024, SAUSD's Expanded Learning Department received the prestigious Golden Bell Award from the California School Boards Association for its outstanding Engage 360 program. This award highlights our dedication to delivering high-quality after-school opportunities that foster academic success, social-emotional growth, and leadership skills. With programs at 49 school sites and partnerships with 32 community organizations, Engage 360 offers enriching activities like tutoring, sports, field trips, and family nights. We extend heartfelt gratitude to our Board of Education, including Vice President Dr. Alfonso Alvarez, Board Clerk Hector Bustos, Board Member Katelyn Brazer Aceves, and newly elected Board Member Valerie Magdaleno, for attending this milestone event. Kiwanis Club Brings Holiday Cheer to SAUSD Students

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Ana recently spread holiday magic this year with their annual Kiwanis Target Shopping Spree, treating more than 100 students from Monte Vista, McFadden Institute of Technology, Thorpe Fundamental, Adams Elementary, and Harvey Elementary to a $150 shopping spree at Target. Over two memorable days, volunteers helped students pick out special holiday gifts to brighten their families’ celebrations. Donations are now being collected to support Caring Educators Nourishing All (CENA) 2024! School Budget Town Hall Meetings Scheduled for Dec. 19, 2024

The District is hosting two community town hall meetings on Dec. 19, 2024 to provide information and answer questions about the budget process and how schools are funded. The first is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at McFadden Institute of Technology, 2701 S. Raitt St.. The second takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Century High School, 1401 S.
