The SAUSD community is invited to attend the District's annual Ethnic Studies Community Conference on April 15, 2023. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Segerstrom High School, and explores the rich history and cultural contributions of our diverse communities. There will be keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive workshops to highlight the importance of ethnic studies in education. Learn more here.

Nearly 1,000 SAUSD Kindergarten students got a glimpse of future college and career opportunities at Santa Ana College’s recent KinderCaminata. Click here to watch a video of this year’s event.

Forty Nutrition Services employees graduated recently from an eight-week culinary skills course offered through a partnership with Santa Ana College. Attendees learned about knife skills, cooking techniques, presentation and more in alignment with the District’s emphasis on serving more fresh foods to SAUSD students. Click here to watch a video.

Did you know that SAUSD offers Spyder Labs at seven intermediate and high schools across the District? This graphic media production and digital fabrication program teaches scholars the design, technical and business skills necessary to succeed in a wide range of industries. Culinary students from Santa Ana Valley High School recently participated in the 10th Annual Cooking Up Change competition at the Northgate Gonzalez Markets headquarters.
