The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education has passed a resolution proclaiming May 2024 as National Mental Health Month. The resolution acknowledges mental health as being essential to children’s overall social emotional health and well-being, propelling children and youth to thrive at home, school, and their community. 2024 High School Commencement Ceremony Schedule Announced


Graduation season has officially arrived in SAUSD, and along with it comes this year’s high school commencement ceremony schedule, which can be found here! Reminder: Admission tickets are required for in-person attendance. And all ceremonies will be live streamed at www.sausd.us/ClassOf2024.

Valley H.S. Student Makes History with ROTC Scholarship Win


Congratulations to Rosalyn Pena from Valley High School! Rosalyn has been awarded an ROTC Scholarship, making history as the first student from SAUSD to receive this prestigious honor. Major Victor Shen presented the scholarship, with Congressman Lou Correa joining in the celebration. We're immensely proud of Rosalyn's dedication and accomplishments. Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School’s Cassandra Cabrera Named Orange County Teacher of the Year!


Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School Teacher Cassandra Cabrera has been honored as an Orange County Teacher of the Year! During a surprise visit from the Orange County Department of Education's 'Prize Patrol,' Ms. Cabrera was celebrated for her exceptional dedication and hard work. Her outstanding achievement comes with a $25,000 prize, and she's now a contender for the state Teacher of the Year award! SAUSD Honors ASB High School Presidents for Outstanding Service


SAUSD recently celebrated the outstanding achievements of ASB high school presidents in an end-of-the-year ceremony. Board Member Hector Bustos commended each student with a plaque, recognizing their unwavering dedication to representing their schools with pride. Through monthly gatherings of the ASB President and Advisors Council Committee, students have utilized a platform to exchange ideas, offer feedback, and seize learning opportunities. Community Alert: Protect Our Schools! Report Suspicious Activity in SAUSD Now


We are witnessing a concerning rise in thefts and vandalism at our school sites in the Santa Ana Unified School District and across the region. Our schools are vital to the education and wellbeing of our children, and we must all play a part in protecting these precious spaces. If you see anything suspicious around our school sites, please don't hesitate to act. Your vigilance is key in safeguarding our educational environments. By working together, we can ensure that our schools remain safe and nurturing places for our students to learn and grow. Report any suspicious activities immediately to our School Police at 714-558-5535.
