SUMMER NIGHT LIGHTS KICKS OFF PROVIDING FUN, SAFE SPACE FOR YOUTH AND FAMILIES
On Saturday, July 7, 2018, Neutral Ground, in partnership with the City of Santa Ana, held an opening ceremony for the launch of the exciting new youth summer program, Summer Night Lights. Members of the SAUSD Board of Education, staff, and many community members attended the event. Click here to view photos from the event.
Summer Night Lights 2018 will run
from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. each evening -
Thursdays and Fridays, July 12 - August 10, 2018 at El Salvador Park located at 1825 W. Civic Center Drive in Santa Ana. The community is invited to attend and enjoy free food, sports, and fun activities for the whole family.

SAUSD hosted many Summer Learning programs this year at schools across the District. Students acquired new skills through both our Engage 360 and summer enrichment programs.
Our Engage 360 Program served 3,000 students at 45 elementary and intermediate school sites from June 26
th through July 11
th. The program focused on literacy, math, and physical education and Enrichment cl
ubs designed to incorporate student voice and choice to blend their learning needs with their interest. The Summer Music Camp recently culminated in the production of "Schreck," featuring elementary, intermediate, and high school students from across the District.

BACK TO SCHOOL CELEBRATION PLANNED FOR AUGUST 4, 2018
The District will be hosting a Back to School Celebration at the
Santa Ana Public Schools Sports Complex
on Saturday, August 4, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. to help our students prepare for the 2018-19 academic year. During this fun-filled and educational event, students will receive free backpacks and school supplies, free health screenings from our partners, support with registration and enrolling in our district, free samples of food from Nutrition Services, and prizes and giveaways from La Ranchera 96.7 FM. There will also be activities and student entertainment, and information on SAUSD programs.

SANTA ANA ASSISTANCE LEAGUE SUPPORTS SAUSD STUDENTS THROUGH OPERATION SCHOOL BELL
The
Santa Ana Assistance League
continues to support Santa Ana Unified students each year through Operation School Bell by providing thousands of uniforms, shoes, undergarments, toiletries, and backpacks to get our students off to a good start.
Thanks to the Assistance League for supporting SAUSD.
