A little bit about your Chamber Board Nominees:
Kelly Endres
My husband, Mike, purchased Endres Insurance Agency, formerly Wagner Insurance, 1/1/2017. At the time, I was still working as a full time Nurse Manager at a Radiation Oncology Clinic in Madison. As Mike grew the business and after many conversations, we decided to put my Management skills to work for our own family business. Although I could not leave nursing completely and still work at the clinic as needed, we took the plunge and I started working at Endres Insurance as the Business Office Manager. Although we live in Sauk City with our two boys Wesley (3) and Bentley (1), Cross Plains is where we spend most of our week. We have a strong drive to help businesses in Cross Plains succeed. We recently purchased a new building on Bourbon Road with the intent to not only grow our business, but in hopes to help other businesses have the right “set up” to succeed in Cross Plains as well.

Scott LaMontange
I have been in the financial services industry for 30yrs and came to Cross Plains last year to take over the Edward Jones branch. Prior to Edward Jones, I worked for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board managing part of the state's pension assets. My wife Jennifer (UW Alum) and our two children Harrison (13) and Juliette (10) moved to Madison in 2011 and love enjoying all Dane County has to offer. I am originally from Illinois where I grew up on a farm an hour south of Chicago. Being in Cross Plains reminds me of the small community I grew up in and brings back a lot of fond memories.
Candace Montag
Candace and her husband, David, moved to Cross Plains in May of 2019 with their 3 children; Kayla, Tyler, and Dylan. After David retired from 20+ years of serving in the U.S. Army, the Montag family opened Montag's Pub and Grill (formerly Hooty's) on July 23, 2020. While Candace works within MCPASD, she is also a dedicated co-owner of the pub and enjoys getting to know residents and visitors of the Cross Plains community. She is the self-titled, "face of the business," and has a knack for connecting with those around her. Although Candace is a fairly new resident of Cross Plains, she seeks to help encourage and promote economic growth and improvement, within the community of Cross Plains.
Katy Ripp
My husband Dale, our two children, Miles and Madeline and myself live just outside of Cross Plains on a small farmette. Dale and I both grew up in and around Cross Plains and knew we wanted our kids to grow up here too. We own and operate four Cross Plains businesses; a cut flower farm, Mad Lizzie's, local wine bar and event venue, Nineteen09 and most recently, Crossroads Coffeehouse. Dale also runs his own business, DR Tops, providing solid surface countertop installation. I am extremely invested in the success of the Cross Plains community and dedicated to helping create unique experiences for visitors and our neighbors.
Ben Swanson
Ben has worked for the State Bank of Cross Plains for the past 11 years, and has been involved with the chamber in multiple capacities for most of that time, sitting on several comities and volunteering for both events and initiatives. Originally from Oakfield Wisconsin, Ben graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Economics, and moved to Cross Plains in 2010 with his wife Briana, where they are now raising their 3 children. In addition to working with the community through his role as a lender at the bank, Ben volunteers time at St. Francis Xavier School & Parish, The Gateway to the Driftless, and The Ice Age Trail Alliance and has been involved in the past with Park School as a math tutor, Glacier Creek Middle School’s Mentor Program, Football Coach of St Francis Football, the former Cross Plains Economic Development Committee, and the Dane County Long Term Disaster Recovery Committee.
