APHSA & Prevent Child Abuse America

2023 Webinar Series on FFPSA

This February will mark 5 years since the passage of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA)the landmark legislation that allowed states to draw down federal IV-E funding to be used for prevention services for the first time. To reflect on the impact of FFPSA, the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and its affinity group the National Association of Public Child Welfare Administrators (NAPCWA) have partnered with Prevent Child Abuse America to host a series of webinars in 2023 that will center on FFPSA and how the field has been advancing the use of prevention services to narrow the door to child welfare.

The series will feature four webinars, one per quarter, with each webinar offering participants an opportunity to connect and dive deeper into specific themes related to utilizing FFPSA as a tool to promote whole family well-being and stability with the ultimate goal of preventing further downstream system involvement. Below we have listed the webinar dates and topics; use the link below each date to register for that specific webinar. More information will be shared with participants closer to the date of each webinar. Please note some webinars are open to only state or local health and human services staff.
