Life in today's world shifts all the time. We must continually seek equilibrium between chaos and order, waking to the outer world, then settling back into ourselves. How do we learn to navigate those movements, back and forth, that influence our health and well-being? In this conference, we will explore capacities that educators can develop to invite every child into their own well-being and equilibrium, both in their body and in their community. Dr. Blanning will share current research and experiential insights drawn from his work as a school doctor and private practitioner, working with families, children, and educators. The conference will focus on ways we can support this process: anchoring ourselves in our bodies, balancing our inner emotional life, and learning to interpret what we observe.

We're eager to see you at the WECAN early childhood conference this spring!

What excites us most about the in-person conference?

  • Better weather than last year (we sure hope) at the stunning Threefold campus
  • Learning alongside anthroposophical physician Dr. Adam Blanning
  • Workshops presented by trusted colleagues in Waldorf EC education
  • Workshops presented by colleagues in several other anthroposophical endeavors, including nursing, eurythmy, practical arts, psychology, biography/social arts, and special education
  • An original puppet play by early childhood teachers
  • A professional eurythmy performance from Eurythmy Spring Valley
  • Eating delicious food from the Threefold Cafe
  • Shopping at the vendor hall
  • Socializing with educators from all over North America

And what excites us about the online conference?

  • Watching the keynote recordings from home on our own time
  • Live (not pre-recorded!) workshops presented by Waldorf Early Childhood educators
  • Participating in those workshops while wearing our yoga pants
  • Having access to conference content without the expense and time required for travel
  • Eating whatever we want
  • Socializing with educators from all over the world

However you plan to join us, we look forward to having you there!
