Hashpa’ah: Spiritual Journey Circles

What is Hashpa'ah? A contemplative practice that explores and expands one's connection and understanding of the Holy in everyday activities. Participants are invited to cultivate their own spiritual narratives, and to listen deeply to others’, to understand, explore and deepen awareness of God’s role in the participants' lives. Hashpa’ah has a rich history. Pirke Avot 1:6, states, “Make for yourself a teacher and acquire for yourself a friend.” Our sages suggest that this “friend” is a spiritual companion. We accompany one another on our individual spiritual journeys.

When and Where is Hashpa'ah? Next meeting, Wednesday, June 14th at 7 PM in Cherry Hill.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: [email protected]

Who is Sharon Pearl?

Sharon Pearl, M.A. is an ordained Spiritual Companion, a member of Congregation Beth Tikvah, who works in both individual and group settings. She creates a safe container so that participants can do their inner work and share their feelings and ideas during group discussions. A veteran teacher of continuing education at area synagogues, Sharon is also a lay leader at P’nai Or Philadelphia. It is a sacred privilege to be present when someone reflects about God by exploring their beliefs, questions, disappointments, anger and joy. As a seeker discerns their experiences and their feelings, I am filled with gratitude that I can accompany a fellow traveler as they journey with God.
