(CHICAGO, IL, 6/11/2026) On June 11, 2026, CAIR-Chicago hosted a press conference at there Chicago office hosting Global Sumud Flotilla survivors of Israeli detainment. Speakers included Activist Suza Boren, Isselmou Maloum, Human Rights Lawyer Farah Chalisa, and CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab.

PRESS STATEMENT: CAIR-Chicago Condemns Burning Cross Found in Grant Park

(CHICAGO, IL, 6/10/2026) – The Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the discovery of a burning cross in Grant Park on June 9, calling the act a disturbing reminder of the Ku Klux Klan’s legacy of racial terror and white supremacist intimidation.

With deaths rising above 3,500, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry since early March, Jordan Esparza-Kelley, a communications spokesperson for CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), told The Final Call that Israel’s goal is to achieve their “greater Israel project,” which includes taking Palestine and land from Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
