Promise Parent and Youth Advisory Committee"Partnering for Success!"

In June, the Promise Youth and Family Advisory Committees met in Milwaukee to talk about their experiences, goals, and what it takes to work in partnership to achieve school, employment, and life goals.

Through a mix of fun, interactive activities and serious discussions, the panel prepared to share their perspective on what it takes for youth, families, schools, and service providers to Partner for Success!

The Promise Parent and Youth Advisory Committee panel presented at the Wisconsin Summer Inclusion Institute on July 25th.

Part of the presentation was advice from the parents:

"My advice for parents: Never give up" ~Jessica

"Build a team and work side by side. (pastor, school, etc). Focus on open communication and trust building." ~Gaynelle

"Don’t give up, even when you are told ‘no’." ~Catherine

Promise Follow-Up Survey

As Promise services come to an end, we are asking all Promise Youth and one family member to complete a final follow-up survey about their time in the Promise program. Any youth who fill out the survey by October 31st will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $30 Walmart or Target gift card.
