Educator Workforce Academy (EWA): January 16th Session Highlights

Educator Workforce Academy (EWA), is a collaborative initiative by SAWDC AlabamaWorks that exposes educators to workforce development and our region’s industries. EWA aims to bridge the gap between industry and education, providing students with the best opportunities for future success.

During the January 16th session focused on Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, participants toured APM Terminals and the Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Attendees also gained valuable insights from engaging presentations delivered by Rhonda White of Austal USA, Rick Clark and Molly Tillman from Alabama Port Authority, Nick Scotto from APM Terminals, Tami May from U-Teach, Joshua Brown from Local IT LLC, Tony May from ALSDE, and Akareem Speers and Klaus Tenbergen from Bishop State Community College.
