SAWDC has embarked on its fourth year in partnership with the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, an unprecedented initiative of national and local funders whose goal is the career advancement of low-wage workers using a model of substantial employer engagement to increase the potential for successful outcomes. The National Fund provided SAWDC with a clear framework for the establishment of high quality industry partnerships - also known as "clusters."

Today, SAWDC supports and sustains four clusters - aviation, healthcare, maritime, and industrial construction/manufacturing - brokering services that address the needs of employers and lower-skilled adults. Since joining the National Fund,  SAWDC has served over 900 jobseekers.  Of those, 673 jobseekers have entered into training with 607 successfully managed into jobs.  In addition, SAWDC has served 181 incumbent workers - all of whom successfully completed advanced on-the-job training and 167  of whom subsequently received wage increases.  In all, a total of 754 industry credentials have been earned by both jobseekers and incumbent workers.

None of this work would have been possible without the tremendous partnership with key employers, partners in the workforce delivery system, and investors:
