SB 219 changes 120 years of bad law for contractors in Texas. With this new law in place, contractors cannot be held liable for defects, owner-furnished plans and specifications; however, contractors can be held liable for failure to timely notify of defects. Several types of contracts, including oil and gas and design-build, are excluded. |
