SB 54 Needs Assessment: Collection, Processing and End Markets RFP Released

CalRecycle announced the posting of DRR24043, the SB 54 Collection, Processing and End Markets RFP. This study will (1) assess how covered material is currently collected, processed and recycled and (2) ascertain actions and investments needed for producers to meet the requirements of SB 54. This Contract will inform the statewide Needs Assessment pursuant to Public Resources Code (PRC) § 42067. Next CAA Producer Reporting Q&A Session - Dec. 4 at 9:30AM PST

To support producer readiness, CAA will share an overview of its non-confidential reporting guidance (with a focus on Q1 2025 Oregon reporting deadlines), followed by Q&A. Circular Action Alliance (CAA), California's only approved Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) for the implementation of SB 54 will hold their next quarterly update on December 11 at 11:30AM PST where CAA staff will share updates on the Oregon program plan, upcoming producer deadlines and the status of EPR implementation across states.
