Today, we celebrate all women locally and internationally. Today, we choose to challenge all to support a woman owned business, donate to a female focused charity or advocate for a female focused project/campaign.

"International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to:

  • celebrate women's achievements
  • raise awareness about women's equality
  • lobby for accelerated gender parity
  • fundraise for female focused charities"

San Benito County, the City of Hollister, the City of San Juan Bautista, San Benito County Water District, and Sunnyslope County Water District are in the process of finalizing the 2022 San Benito County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Hazard mitigation plans provide communities the opportunity to think deliberately about the greatest vulnerabilities in the community and existing capacity to mitigate disaster, and plan to address identified issues through incremental, achievable projects.
At this stage, the Plan has received a comprehensive update though a year-long interactive planning process. This Plan is available for public review until March 28,2022 and we want to hear from you! Collecting your feedback is a crucial step to ensure the final plan aligns with values, interests, and priorities of our community. Visit the County's website to view the plan and provide feedback. https://www.cosb.us/Home/Components/News/News/82/57
