Military space gets big boost in Pentagon’s $750 billion budget plan - “Future wars will be waged not just in the air, on the land or at sea but also in space and cyberspace, dramatically increasing the complexity of warfare,” David Norquist, acting deputy secretary of defense, told reporters following the rollout of the Pentagon’s budget March 12.
  2. DoD Proposes to Apply Non-Manufacturer Rule to All 8(a) Contracts - Nearly three years ago, the SBA issued a final rule that standardized the limitations on subcontracting and the non-manufacturer rule (“NMR”) that apply to small business concerns, including participants in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program. In a step toward regulatory conformity, the DoD is now proposing to implement the revised NMR for 8(a) participants that contract with DoD.
  3. Colorado Congressional Delegation, Governor Urge Department of Defense to Headquarter U.S. Space Command in Colorado - The entire Colorado Congressional Delegation and Governor Jared Polis joined together to urge the U.S. Department of Defense to reestablish U.S. Space Command in Colorado and to use Colorado’s existing space missions and assets to address emerging and transforming threats in space.
