Small Business Center - Special Update
March 17, 2020
Hello Valued SBC Participant

Another update from your Small Business Center. Craven Community College and SBC is closed through Monday, March 30. For details and updates >

Christina and I have school-aged children at home so it may be challenging for us to be responsive. However, Christina and I will do our best to assist you.

We are re-scheduling events and appointments. Our small business advisors will do their best to hold sessions by phone. Need assistance? Request counseling >

This is a moment-by-moment situation. We will pass along news and helpful information as we receive it. Thank you for your patience.

If you come across information and ideas that could benefit other small businesses, please feel free to email me at .

Thank you! All the Best, deborah .

Let the community know the status of your business and how you are doing business during this time. Email your post link, or graphic with post copy and we will share. Follow and Like the SBC, too!

Ideas to help increase certainty in your business during uncertain times:

  • Communicate with your customers - Call, email, social media posts to let them know of status and how you are doing business during this time. Ask them to share this with others.
  • Consider ideas such as: call-ahead (or online order, or via email) Pick Up services, delivery, take out, gift cards, encourage customers to reschedule instead of cancel, pre-payment of future services (deposit, subscription, membership), online orders, virtual services (consulting, training, problem solving), etc.
